Hello, readers!

This is me touching base after moving my newsletter subscriber list to a new platform. MailerLite was super laggy, which constantly discouraged me from wanting to draft a newsletter, so now I’m using beehiiv.

I also get into my head a lot about the idea that people don’t care about my writing, but I’ve properly kicked my own butt and reminded myself you all wouldn’t be here if you didn’t want to be. The unsubscribe button is at the bottom and can be used by anyone who wants to use it.

One Click Away is on Audio Now!

Yep, that’s right! I worked with an indie narrator named August Roy and got the audiobook out on almost all retailers! It’s also available at libraries, which is super important to me. Hoopla usually takes up to six months, so they could still be pending, but it’s available on Libby, Kobo+, Chirp Books, and more!

I would link it, but I’d have to choose just one link, and the “book2read” link won’t populate this book when I’ve tried. So you’ll have to search it, and I encourage you to always do this when you find books you want to read.

I always search like:

  1. Libby

  2. Kobo+

  3. Chirp (for audio)

  4. FINALLY Amazon

I think it’s important to support authors going wide, so definitely try to do your part too if you can and encourage them and also shop elsewhere when you can if possible!

Madison Diaz Book Updates

I’m working on the third book of the Forbidden Flames series! I announced the characters on IG recently, and they’re from Over the Line. Cami and Aaron will be my MCs for Forbidden Flames 3.

Yes, Cami got engaged at the end of Over the Line. I felt this was important to represent loss because many of us have lost someone we cared about. I wanted to work through some of my personal feelings about this from when I lost a friend in my early twenties. How do we go on? That’s something I want to explore.

This book also deals with other controversial topics that won’t surprise those of you who know me and what I believe and think. I’m a Latina, bisexual author, so you take that as you will.

My hope is to release this book in August, but we will see how it goes. I’m almost finished drafting, but I’ve already started developmental edits, and I had alpha readers take a look in February, so I hope to get this book finished, edited, finalized, and ready for publishing.

Additionally:

I want to add that I won a giveaway and got an awesome sticker design for the Forbidden Flames series! I haven’t done much with this yet, but I’m hoping to eventually get some stickers made and actually add them in with my signed copies during future sales!

Alexandra Madison Book Updates

I’m itching to write another! After I’ve gotten this first draft done and people are reading, I will likely start drafting my next one.

I’m choosing to do Red Hood, Wolf, and the Hunter, so we will see how that manifests. I’m not fully at the writing monsters part of my writing, but I am getting there. I dipped my toes in with The Biggest Sacrifice, but there’s still some research and inspiration that needs to take place before I’m fully there. iykyk

More updates on this one to come!

General Announcement

I will be getting new book covers commissioned for the Forbidden Flames series, and I’m looking at doing the same for my Alexandra Madison books.

My illustrator for the lovely book covers above has shifted her career focus to more hands-on types of projects like murals and whatnot. She’s an awesome artist, and I’m happy for her to be getting more work in the field she has a passion for.

To have cohesiveness within my series, I’ll need all the covers to match, so we will be getting new ones. If you really like these, then please order them now so you can have them. 🙂 One Click Away will remain the same cover since it’s a standalone!

For Alexandra Madison books…well, I designed those. And I’m not very good at it + it takes me forever. Now that I have a full-time job with a paycheck (got hired in August 2025), I have the funds to slowly start purchasing these things. So you might see an overhaul with that.

I’ll slowly work toward an overall marketing overhaul because I’ve just been doing things the way I can as an artist, and I need some more structure and clarity when it comes to my brand and what I write.

That’s all, friends!

Thank you so much for following my journey here and being supportive. I’ll try to write to you all more often with updates. Getting a job really did wonders for my depression and imposter syndrome, so that’s a positive overall!

See you soon xoxo,

Madison 😘 🤘
